Shakespeare's Monkeys

Infinite Monkeys. Infinite Typewriters.

Starla tastes of strawberries «   new stuff «

ink and green

more confusion is all i need
it was beautiful

muted light and green eyes
beer spills held-breaths
delicate lies

these cold fingers trace
black swirls and angel wings
teeth in my shoulder
hand against lace

arched-back whispers
mornings of regret

he has become something
more than his reality

and I'm so sorry
but I think I have ruined
everything

for green eyes
and a soft tongue
trace against my thigh

tangled limbs
red satin lips
pressed against stars

etch myself
with his half-moon scars

This is tender, delicate and sad. I think there are a few rough spots, but on the whole, I very much like it. The one spot that really tripped me was the lack of transition into the last stanza. THat might just be me being a bad audience..but still. you should know it happened to me. (so you can mock me)
