Some Day in May
I know she's a bit shy about it, but seriously there's some finely crafted work in there that deserves to be gawked at. deprivation is one I particularly enjoyed.
Derma Kaput![]() from Possum Grape, Arkansas Associate, 1497 posts | I think she's a wonderful poet and count many favorites among all the gems she's put up here - most of them concise, well-structured, moving, and demonstrating a very effective use of metaphor. I think I were to define her style, it would fall into a confessional vein (which I don't usually get hugely enthusiastic about) but she writes her poems with such wit and aplomb that I find almost every one to merit repeated readings. Meaning I check out her stuff pretty regularly, even if I've read them several times before. |
Somday In May![]() from Kentucky 267 posts | Aww shucks! You fellas are making me blush. But seriously, thank you. Though somehow, that doesn't quite cover it. And I am at a loss for words at the moment. |
Nyx![]() 13 posts | I must agree! I love the spin she is able to put on things, the way she sees life. lol... I have had the privilege to read her writings for quite some time and she never ceases to amaze me and leave me with thinking... hmmmmmm.... I believe this is the sign of a very very great writer! |
Someday In May![]() from Kentucky 267 posts | HOLY COW!! I have fans. I always wanted to be popular. And not in the "can I have some more to drink, cause I spilled the other cup all over the kitchen floor and you should probably clean it up" kind of way. Thank you Nyx, love ya girl! ----- ...but what do I know? |
