Josie's Fiction, trite and true

Please read. Comment if you like. My hope is that it will reach you somehow. That I can shape something new under the skin, behind the eyes. But it's only fiction, right?

Josie.  Don't know where to start.  It's like you've put Lewis Carroll in a full metal jacket and switched on the electricity.  But it's awesome.  Yes, awesome.  That's the only adjective that finds its way to the front of my brain right now.

The horrible juxtaposition of child-speak and bloodgutsgore is incredibly effective and handled with great skill.  (See what you've done to my superlatives?)  The only suggestion that comes to mind is, in the second paragraph with the pacing, have you considered just "15 steps down, 10 across"?  Only because that sounds crosswordy to me and just adds a bit more (like you need it) to the surrealism.

And welcome.  Delighted to have you here.

I'm knocked out by this world you've created. It's as if you've developed a whole new language and the reason I can understand is because it conveys emotions so brilliantly.  Unforgettable.
