Triolet
I have often wanted to write triolets, and I think I remember the rhyme scheme
A - First rhyme
B - Second rhyme
a - Rhymes with 1st line.
A - Identical to 1st line.
a - Rhymes with 1st line.
b - Rhymes with 2nd line.
A - Identical to 1st line.
B - Identical to 2nd line.
Is that correct? But I don't remember if there is a syllable requirement ?
Leanne![]() from Just west of the lounge room Associate, 3019 posts | Exactly right, Laurie. These are usually 8 syllables per line (the French are quite anal like that) which keeps it fairly small and neat. I'm so pleased to see you jumping into this! |

We tip the iris to our lips, and kiss the flowing purple skirt. Unraveling time as petals fall from weakened stems. Dismiss us. Tip the iris to your lips, and kiss the flower pinned inside your breath. You'll miss it when it's gone, unless ---- you see no crime. We tip the iris to our lips and kiss the flowing purple skirt unraveling time. _____________________- Love your friendly neighborhood port-a-potty.
