Sunrise pushes ripe peach and strawberry
clouds into the crisp morning air
Announcing the coming radiance
Alluding to Spring passions
Light smears a smile across my face
A cathartic balm upon my Winter blues
I drink deeply of the first blast of fresh sunshine
And quench my thirsty soul
On the promise of Summer
