Rhode Island fall

you admire the hills
and blanketed leaves, multi
-colored flags which wave
frantically from the trees.

you don't know she died
in this state. you don't know
or understand my anger
which makes me unable
to even look at it. but none

of that is this. i am
another person in those
memories, sharper.

I had to read this a few times because the first stanza confused me. Who's the "you?" Then, when I got it I thought, maybe if the title were "Rhode Island fall" the rest would easily fall into place. At least for me.
