Stylish business suit
Perfectly groomed
Handsome to a T

She
Lithe of body
Graceful even seated
Angels eyes
Stunning

He
Eyes shuttered
Watching her stealthily
Imagining
Planning
Longing to pierce her
The tools in his briefcase
Though idle
Ready to make new cavities

He coughs to hide a tremor of anticipation

She
Sees him as a catch
Willing herself to speak to him
Mindful of common sense
Yet full of need
She moistens at the thought of him

The car sped around the corner
Out of control
Careening into the bus shelter

She
Was decapitated
Leaving a gaping hole atop her neck

He
Was virtually untouched

The paramedics report
Hinted at his heightened shock

I suppose his next victim
Should forgive them
Drooling can be misconstrued so easily
