A Posy Of Peonies
I picked the plumpest peonies
And posed them in a vase.
A pleasing perfumed posy,
Pink petals full of grace.
I placed the posy of peonies
As a pretty centerpiece,
Perfect pungent pom-poms,
Preciously caprice.
I peered into the peonies
As pitch black patterns passed,
Promenading through the petals,
Unpleasant shadows cast.
I pitched the plagued peonies
Packed plentiful with pest,
Petals full of pestilence
Puny unwelcome guests.
