Any thoughts?

A murky picture of the devil

descends from a cloudless sky

Hands sinewy and cold

yet gracefully they still speak of love.

Compartmentalize defeat

and listen at the foot of change.

Tongue thick with indecision,

obscure as pancakes in Nepal.

He is crying purple dreams

tears of mellow substance smear his pillow.

Smothered in temptation and honeyed words

I sit alone amid the prairie grass,

whimsically perfect in every way.

This is but a drought

of donuts, with just enough

chocolate icing to get by.
