Disconnected
In this disinfected
Hollowed out pumpkin shell
Where nothin’ but candy corn
Fills the empty spaces

Automated smiles
Across endless miles
Of wishing wells and welling wishers
Here at the northern star

And the man in the moon
Who just like me, took up the spoon
Milked the cow and even now
Froze the cream, forgot to dream
And on the dish
He ate every wish
