The Hand You Cannot See By Laurie, on Nov. 3
Snow revised. Title and allLaundry Service By Laurie, on Oct. 21
Inhale deep
the scent of blessed shivers
beneath sheets of fine quality
legs stretched out along
the flat field of crispy white
Raising to create a big top tent
She is the apex

I am pushing myself to try different things. The Mayor and The Blonde By Laurie, on Oct. 15
The Mayor of Lowell awaited me
atop the darkened stair,
his friendly gaze and smiling face
took in my long blonde hair.
He grasped my hand in both of his
and held it to his chest.
...Cherries Roll Downhill By Laurie, on Oct. 13
Cherries roll downhill
Tumbling along
Vibrant
Bouncing
Vital-plump
happy cherries
Bouncing
Fresh
Bold
Succulent and ripe
Firm resilient
Rolling downhill
...The Earth IS Round By Laurie, on Oct. 6
no pounding heart
no detonation
no manic burst of insanity
just tranquil blue
dropping into
the clear pale thrust of icy sky
...Of Your Love By Laurie, on Jul. 2 2007
...affection settles mist-like on my skin
flowing electric between us
pleasure bee that you are
alight upon sweet petals
circuit of love and desire
i hunger for you
i smile for you
i ache for you
i burn for you
buzz around me
never enough
exhilaration
masterful
complete
i am yours

I worked on this quite awhile since it is now September.Drinking Sangria By Laurie, on Sep. 5
Hope slips closer
Up over the edge of the world
Painting plum scallops along the horizon of sanity
Internal desertification
Rippling daybreak across pure gold
Taproots penetrate the water table
Knowing I’m a Fool
Adoration By Laurie, on Sep. 5
Just a short poem.Beyond Dreams By Laurie, on Aug. 19
Red hot circle of beaming light
low slung across dirty buildings
scuffed with last nights drunken boasts.
Thick sap oozes out on the limb
Glowing warm on slender branches
Tall grass whips her naked ankles
Legacy By Laurie, on Aug. 7
I was thinking of naming this "Dakota Legacy" although I think just Legacy allows for a wider interpretation. Any thoughts?Obstacles By Laurie, on Aug. 7
Veil your heart
Quickly, beneath the bridge of sorrow.
Grave messengers seek vengeance
Beware the lone and lonely hermit.
Seek the sun God
Harp-strings plucked with skill
Such honey-sweet voices sing
The Cool-Side of the Pillow By Laurie, on Jul. 27
Summer sun
circle so high
early on
the morning sky.
Touch me now
with ardent grace,
...Pursue the Moon By Laurie, on June 19

I am the sun of Copacati
blaring midday
hot and unforgiving.
Dealing freshwater cards
inspiring aquatic designs
to soothe the evil spirit of the woods.
Buried treasure is hidden.
beckoning from beneath a
dwelling made of dry old bones.
The goddess of fire

Deep into the warmth of earth

Quiet anguish

A frost of discontent obstructs the view
Demeanor expressionless and dull
A burnt out core channeling
Passion through a voice
Rocking waves in rhythmic cadence
Breaking splash-away on frozen sands
I glance away as longing overwhelms me
You never did look good in arrogance
The layer of snow muting sound
...Secrets of Longevity By Laurie, on Jan. 7
Eels are wonderful creatures
not quite a fish
not really a snake
quick and slippery
they can be quite shocking
depending on the eel of course
They like water and are very good swimmers
And I almost forgot how delicious they are...
Grilled lightly over a medium flame
Anointed with sweet and sour barbeque sauce
...The Shape of Life By Laurie, on Dec. 13 2007
Dreams scatter quickly
dawn pokes fingers of pearl grey across the horizon
easing back the weightless blanket of nightfall.
First light reveals
a pristine layer of pure sparkling snow,
hiding the evil grime and vile corruption of life immoral.
Hope germinates...
...a new beginning

Steal My Breath By Laurie, on Nov. 19 2007
the bright declaration of dawn,
as bird-flight spirals overhead.
Nature shoves violently
forcing life right back at us
Streaks of winter's icy tears,
Voices idle, hands mute.
Love stands sentinel
as we illustrate beauty
in words upon our hearts.Fracturing Fairytales: A Series of Poetic Disillusions By Laurie, on Nov. 14 2007

adrift across brilliant Cosmos
Oh desiccated heart
In search of infinite fire
Deeply banked behind those burning eyes
Expanding into midnight skies
To drink of Heaven's light
Fly far among the lonely stars
